IP vs. Analog: Always Choose IP
Analog cameras transmit video over coaxial cable to a DVR. They typically max out at 1080p resolution and lack remote access, intelligent video analytics, and easy scalability. If you are building a new system in 2025, there is no reason to choose analog.
IP cameras transmit video over standard Ethernet cable (or Wi-Fi for some models) to an NVR. They support 4K resolution, intelligent features like license plate recognition and motion analytics, remote viewing from any smartphone, and are far easier to expand. Every system we install uses IP cameras.
